Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a diagnosis to start counseling?
No. You don’t need a diagnosis or a referral to begin outpatient counseling. Many of our clients come in simply seeking support for everyday stress, relationship difficulties, or a safe place to talk things through.
Can I see someone for both therapy and medication?
Yes. If appropriate, you may receive both therapy and medication management services through Serenity Health & Recovery. We believe in an integrated care model where your providers work together to support you.
Is counseling confidential?
Yes. Everything shared in sessions is kept confidential, except in cases where there is a legal or safety obligation to share information (such as threats of harm or abuse). We take your privacy seriously and will explain your rights clearly during intake.
What Do I Take With Me?
The European languages are members of the same family. Their separate existence is a myth. For science, music, sport, etc, Europe uses the same vocabulary. The languages only differ in their grammar, their pronunciation and their most common words. Everyone realizes why a new common language would be desirable: one could refuse to pay expensive translators.
