Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Serenity Health & Recovery offers a supportive and structured environment for individuals who need more than weekly therapy but do not require inpatient treatment. IOP is ideal for those facing substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, or ongoing emotional challenges that have disrupted daily life.

This level of care allows clients to receive focused therapeutic support while maintaining their work, school, or family responsibilities. Treatment is delivered through a combination of group counseling, individual therapy, psychoeducation, and case management—tailored to meet each client’s specific needs and goals.

We focus on helping clients build coping skills, process underlying issues, develop relapse prevention strategies, and create a plan for sustainable recovery.

Program Highlights:
  • Structured Weekly Schedule
Our IOP typically includes 3 to 5 sessions per week, combining group and individual therapy to support consistent progress. Sessions are offered in both day and evening tracks to fit different schedules.

  • Individualized Care Plans
Each client receives a personalized treatment plan that addresses their substance use, mental health needs, and life goals. Plans are reviewed and adjusted regularly based on progress.

  • Evidence-Based Group Therapy
Groups focus on skill-building, emotional regulation, relapse prevention, communication, and self-awareness. Groups are led by experienced, licensed clinicians.

  • One-on-One Counseling
In addition to groups, clients meet individually with a therapist to process personal challenges and receive tailored support.

  • Dual Diagnosis Support
We specialize in treating individuals with both substance use and mental health conditions, ensuring both are addressed in a coordinated way.

  • Case Management Services
Clients receive assistance with real-life needs such as housing, employment, transportation, legal coordination, or social services.

  • Medication Management
Psychiatric evaluation and medication support are available if needed, in coordination with therapeutic services.

Who Is IOP For?
  • Individuals stepping down from inpatient or residential treatment

  • Those needing more support than traditional weekly therapy

  • Adults managing substance use alongside anxiety, depression, or trauma

  • Individuals at risk of relapse or struggling with stability

Our IOP serves as a critical bridge between crisis and long-term recovery, helping clients regain stability and rebuild their lives with professional support and peer connection.

Recovery is possible, and support is available.
